751 — CP Accounting 1 1 CREDIT LEVEL 3
This course reviews the basic theory and practice of accounting, covering the accounting cycle from the elementary equation to preparation of adjusting and closing entries and financial statements.
Pre-requisite: Minimum average of 80% in Algebra 1.
752 — CP Accounting 2 1 CREDIT LEVEL 3
The purpose of this course is to expand the student’s understanding and ability in accounting based on what was achieved in Accounting 1. This involves a study of data processing, special journals, the cash register system, sales taxes, depreciation, bad debts, accruals, partnerships and corporations. Pre-requisite: Accounting 1 with a minimum average of 80% and Departmental approval.
755 — Graphics/Web Page Design 1 CREDIT LEVEL 3
In this course, students will learn to create newsletters, brochures, and bulletins. They will also learn about layout and design and applying templates to a publication. Using HTML, students will learn to plan and design web pages, format the document and add links, color, and graphics. Finally, students will publish their own web pages.
762 — International Business Practice Firm 1 CREDIT LEVEL 3
Using an international business model, the students work as team members in a simulated business firm in a state-of-the-art facility; students have the opportunity to perform various business functions (i.e. accounting, human resources, marketing/sales, and purchasing/inventory control) as the firm transacts business with students in other simulated companies both in the United States and other countries.
