PERIOD 1 EXAMINATION

8:00 am                  Report to first exam room

8:04-8:20 am          Morning Prayers and Attendance. Attendance will be collected.  

8:20-9:35 am          Exam 1

9:35-9:40 am          Exam Collection

9:40-10:00 am        Break

 

PERIOD 2 EXAMINATION

10:00-10:05 am      Attendance. Attendance will be collected.  

10:05-11:20 am      Exam 2

11:20-11:25 am      Exam Collection
11:25-11:30 am      Afternoon Prayers and Announcements

11:30 am                Dismissal         

 

In the event of inclement weather, and a 2-hour delay on any of the exam days, we will use the following schedule:

 

PERIOD 1 EXAMINATION

10:00 am                Report to first exam room

10:04-10:20 am      Morning Prayers and Attendance. Attendance will be collected.  

10:20-11:35 am      Exam 1

11:35-11:40 am      Exam Collection

11:40-12:00 pm      Break

 

PERIOD 2 EXAMINATION

 

12:00-12:05 pm     Attendance. Attendance will be collected.  

12:05-1:20 pm       Exam 2

1:20-1:25 pm         Exam Collection
1:25-1:30 pm         Afternoon Prayers and Announcements

1:30 pm                 Dismissal         

 

Students relying on a bus for transportation home may need to wait until 2:50 PM for the bus to pick them up.
We cannot guarantee that the districts will provide bussing on the altered schedule.

 

In the event of inclement weather, and a Snow Day is called, we will pick up where we left off on the day we return.
(ie. If a Snow Day is called on Wednesday, the period 7&8 exams will be on Thursday, the period 3&4 exams on Friday, etc.)

 

Please Note: 

• Semester One exams account for 20% of a student's first-semester grade and 10% of the final average

• Exam periods will be 75 minutes long. We will follow an A-Day schedule.

• Students will have a 20-minute break between exam periods.

• Students who do not have an exam are not required to be in school for that exam period.

• There will be a designated supervised area in the school for students who rely on the bus for transportation to and from school and do not have an exam during a certain exam period.

 

Please Note: If students do not have an exam during the First Exam Period, they must report to the Second Period Exam Room by 10:00 AM. If students arrive after that time, they will be considered late. If students arrive before 9:55 AM, they should report to the Cafeteria for silent study. If students do not have an examination during the Second Exam Period, they may leave after their first exam. If they are in the building and do not have an examination, they must report to the cafeteria.
 

ABSENCE – As per the Parent/Student handbook (p. 25), No student will be excused for a vacation/trip during the week of exams.  Students should only miss a scheduled exam for extreme circumstances. Any student who has an unexcused/unapproved absence (planned or unplanned) will receive a score of zero for the missed exam.
 

Students with approved absences (illness) will make up their exams immediately upon their return to school. Students may need to stay after school or come in early to make up these exams, so please plan accordingly. This would be required to reduce the amount of class time students miss to make up their semester exams.
