Class of 2022 End-of-the-Year, Baccalaureate & Graduation Information

This is the end-of-the-year information for all activities pertaining to Seniors.

lease be sure to follow all directions.

In order to participate in Graduation, all academic, retreat and service hour requirements must be fulfilled.

In addition, all financial obligations must be settled with the Finance Office. 

 

Lockers

All senior lockers are to be emptied by Thursday, May 26.

 

Cap and Gown Distribution

Caps and gowns will be distributed to graduating seniors on Wednesday, June 1 in Masson Auditorium beginning at 10am. Seniors, please note the time you are required to be at school. Also, Seniors may only pick up their own cap and gown. If someone is not able to be there at their assigned time, they are to make arrangements with the Finance Office for pickup. NO STUDENT will be given anyone else’s gown but their own.

  • 3A – 10:40am

  • NHS1 – 11:00am

  • NHS2 – 11:20am

  • NHS3 – 11:40am

 

Baccalaureate and Graduation Practice

Baccalaureate and Graduation Practice will be held in Masson Auditorium and Rockne Hall on Thursday, June 2 at 10am. Students should report directly to Masson Auditorium and be seated in their assigned seat NO LATER THAN 10am. Seat assignments are given with the caps and gowns.

 

Baccalaureate and Graduation Tickets

Baccalaureate and graduation tickets will be distributed in Theology classes the week of May 23 (or given to Seniors at cap and gown pickup). Each senior will receive an envelope containing FOUR tickets for baccalaureate and TEN tickets for graduation. Tickets are required for admission and will be surrendered upon entering. Please return any unused tickets to the Main Office. Requests for extra tickets must be made in writing to the Main Office, no later than Tuesday, May 31. Both events will be live-streamed via social media and/or via our YouTube channel. Details will be posted on the school website, social media, and via e-mail to our families. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 

 

Dress Code for Baccalaureate and Graduation

The dress code for graduates will be reviewed in detail at Baccalaureate and Graduation practice. Ladies must be modestly and appropriately dressed. Flip-flops and sneakers are not appropriate. Be mindful of show heel height. Gentlemen are required to wear dress pants, dress shirt, tie, and dress shoes. Earrings are not permitted. All regular school dress code requirements regarding grooming (young men must be clean-shaven) are in effect. Remember, you are representing yourself, your family, your church, Allentown Central Catholic, and your community! 

 

Baccalaureate and Graduation

Baccalaureate will be held at St. Thomas More Church on Thursday, June 2 at 7pm. Please assemble the lawn outside the church by the St. Thomas More statue by 6pm. We will begin the procession into the church at 6:45pm. Please remember to follow the dress code. You may sit near the people you choose for this evening. 

 

Graduation

Graduation will be held in Rockne Hall on Friday, June 3 at 7pm. Assemble in Masson Auditorium NO LATER than 6pm for final announcements and prayer. DO NOT BE LATE! You will be seated alphabetically for this evening. The seating assignment will be given to you along with your cap and gown. We will begin the procession at 6:45pm. At the conclusion of Commencement, take your diploma case and the envelope that is on your chair in Rockne and process out.

 

Seating for those with disabilities:

Special seating arrangements can be made for individuals with disabilities.
